Two pieces, performed by Alf Brooks (Synth, Revox A77, Mixer, field recordings) and Dylan Kerr (Voice)
Dylan Kerr brought the pieces from a memorised repertoire. Having learnt them from a young age, they are able to tap into them intuitively. Being a performance artist, Dylan often uses fragments and elements of these pieces during the various performances in order to form a link between their past and present.
Alf Brooks has been experimenting in accompaniment with this setup, centred around the Revox, over the past year.
These two stereo recordings were made in one improvised take over one evening, the night before a performance in Kottbusser Tor, DE. (19.12.19)
