Alf Brooks was born in Devon on the British Isles. Until the age of 18, he was an active member of the music scene in the small town of Totnes, Devon. He was a co-founder of 'groundvibes' soundsystem, active between 2011-13.

Since 2013, he has lived and worked in Berlin, Germany, the home of his paternal grandmother. After finishing an undergraduate degree in Sound Engineering & music production, he has been working freelance as a sound engineer and music producer.

Since 2024, he has been involved in the Theatre scene, most recently working alongside Andrea Belfi in Schauspielhaus Bochum. He is also an active member of the Arts Space 90mil, where he is one of the co-builder/owners of the inhouse soundsystem there.
